‘X-Men ’97’ Reveals New Poster, And It’s Nostalgia Overload

It feels like the ’90s again with new adventures for the X-Men.

Marvel recently unveiled a series of character posters for the ‘X-Men ’97,’ series, which made the fans feel nostalgic for their classic ’90s trading card aesthetic.

As seen in Reddit discussions, the new poster received overwhelmingly positive reactions from fans. They praised the marketing team for the idea, with many expressing excitement as it brought back their childhood memories. One Redditor wrote:

“The nostalgia dopamine hits keep on coming. These guys know EXACTLY who their target audience is.”

Another said:

“Best MCU marketing campaign I’ve seen in a LONG time. If the next one is some Pogs with a Magneto slammer, I’m going to lose my mind.”

Sharing his collection, one of the fans wished Marvel had a plan to release the new cards:

“They hit it right on the nail! I really hope they think of releasing these cards!”

Marvel Studios and Disney+ went to great lengths to market ‘X-Men ’97’ with a strategy rooted in ’90s nostalgia, from the design of the posters to its VHS-style trailer. Apparently, this approach was received well by the target audience.

You can see the cards below.
