Kevin Spacey Declares He’s ‘Homeless’ With Millions Of Debt

His Baltimore home is being sold at auction, and he has no money left.

Kevin Spacey recently revealed that he is now homeless and owes millions of dollars in legal fees.

In an emotional interview on ‘Piers Morgan Uncensored,’ Spacey shared that his house in Baltimore is being foreclosed and will be sold at auction. When asked if he was facing bankruptcy, Spacey said he managed to avoid it for now:

“There’s been a couple of times when I thought I was going to file but we’ve managed to dodge it, at least as of today.”

Spacey said he has no permanent home and barely any money left. He explained that he moved into his current house in 2016, but now he can’t pay his bills:

“This week, where I have been living in Baltimore is being foreclosed on. My house is being sold at auction, so I have to go back to Baltimore and put my things in storage. So the answer to that question is, I’m not sure where I am going to live now. But I’ve been in Baltimore since we started shooting ‘House of Cards‘ there. I moved there in 2012. This [house] has been my home since 2016. I can’t pay the bills that I owe.”

Last year, a U.K. court found Spacey not guilty of nine charges of sexual assault from four different people. Other charges and lawsuits against him have been dropped, and Spacey has denied all allegations.

Accusations Affected His Career

Netflix fired Spacey from ‘House of Cards’ in 2017 due to allegations of inappropriate behavior on set. The show continued without him, and his co-star Robin Wright became the sole lead. Spacey said that he has not heard from Wright since the allegations went public:

“I haven’t heard from Robin since September or October 2017. I understand. I do. I think by distancing herself from me it allowed her to not have to answer a lot of questions.”

Spacey criticized Netflix’s decision to fire him during the interview and called it wrong. He noted that Netflix’s CEO has since supported controversial names like comedian Dave Chappelle and wished the same support was extended to him:

“Even though they made the decision they made, which I think was a strange decision… it was a wrong decision. It was wrong for them as a company. It put them in a position where then anyone who was accused of anything they had to respond in a similar way. It does seem with Dave Chappelle that Ted Sarandos has learned to be supportive of controversial individuals… I do wish he’d done that with me.”

A two-part documentary called ‘Spacey Unmasked’ aired in the U.K. and is now streaming on Max. The documentary features new testimonies about Spacey’s alleged misconduct, including a claim that he groped another ‘House of Cards’ actor.
