Netflix Finally Releases The Superhero Drama We’ve All Been Waiting For

It has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and is topping charts worldwide.

Netflix released a new superhero drama called ‘Supacell,’ and it’s already a huge hit.

‘Supacell’ came out on June 27 and quickly became one of the most-watched series on the platform. It climbed to the top of the charts in many countries in just a few days and is currently the second most-watched show in both the UK and the US.

‘Supacell’ was created by Rapman. It’s about five ordinary people from South London who discover they have superpowers. The cast includes Tosin Cole as Michael Lasaki, Nadine Mills as Sabrina Clarke, Eric Kofi Abrefa as Andre Simpson, Calvin Demba as Rodney, Josh Tedeku as Tayo ‘Tazer’ Amusan, and Adelayo Adedayo as Dionne Ofori.

Other actors in the show are Rayxia Ojo, Sharleen, Giacomo Mancini, Digga D as Chucky, and Eddie Marsan as the leader of a secret organization hunting the superpowered characters.

‘Supacell’ Received Perfect Reviews

‘Supacell’ currently has a perfect 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. It reached number two on Netflix’s global Top 10 chart for English-language TV shows between June 24 and June 30, with 33.5 million views and 6.4 million hours watched.

According to ScreenRant, ‘Supacell’ did better than popular shows like ‘Bridgerton,’ ‘Sweet Tooth,’ and ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’ — the newest season of ‘Bridgerton’ is still number one, though.

The first season of ‘Supacell’ has six episodes and wraps up several key plot points. There’s already talk about a possible second season because of the first season’s success. The show’s creator planned a three-season story arc and discussed it with Netflix, but we still don’t know if there will be a second season.
