Elizabeth Olsen Gives One Condition For Scarlet Witch’s MCU Return

She hinted that her character wasn’t used well in her last MCU appearance.

Elizabeth Olsen recently shared her thoughts on returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Scarlet Witch.

While promoting her latest movie ‘His Three Daughters’ on Irish radio station FM 104, Olsen was asked if she would play Wanda Maximoff again. ComicBookMovie reports that she said she would be happy to come back, but only if her character is ‘used well.’

Olsen explained that she felt like her character had a strong role when she first started. She then hinted that in her most recent appearance in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ things were different. “They kind of didn’t know what to do with me for a second there,” she said. “If there’s a good way to use her, I’m always happy to come back.”

The last time we saw Wanda Maximoff was in ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.’ She went from being a hero to a villain, but many didn’t think this change made sense. Wanda sought redemption by destroying the Darkhold by the end of the film and bringing a mountain down on herself.

Scarlet Witch hasn’t appeared in the MCU since then, but rumors suggest that Olsen might return in upcoming projects. Some believe she may appear in the ‘Vision’ series on Disney+ or in ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ Both of which are rumored to start filming next year.

Several ‘WandaVision’ spin-offs are in development. One of them is the upcoming ‘Agatha All Along’ series. Paul Bettany, who played Vision, is also expected to return in his own series.
