Shazam! Actor Zachary Levi Is Upset That He Couldn’t Be The Next Chris Evans, According To Insider

A new report looked at Levi’s current standing in Hollywood and shared his alleged frustration over not becoming a bigger movie star.

Zachary Levi received positive feedback for his performance in the 2019 movie ‘Shazam!’ and seemed to be on his way to stardom. But his conservative political views and recent failed gigs, including ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’ and ‘Harold and the Purple Crayon,’ stopped his rise in Hollywood.

Now, according to an insider quoted in a new article from The Hollywood Reporter, Levi is bitter that his career didn’t reach the level of stars like Chris Evans or Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

The insider that allegedly has known Levi for years shared, “When he was cast as Shazam, it was literally his dream. He thought this was his ticket to being The Rock or Chris Evans. But it didn’t happen for him, and he’s bitter about that.”

The Hollywood Reporter also highlighted how Zachary Levi’s recent public support for Donald Trump has affected his career in Hollywood. The actor himself admitted during his speech at a rally last week that his endorsement was a ‘career suicide’ in a ‘very, very liberal’ industry.

The former DCEU star has reportedly left Los Angeles and moved to a cattle ranch in Texas. He now plans to focus on faith-based projects and so is not expected to reprise his role as Shazam in an upcoming DC Studios project.
