‘Queer Eye’ season 9 trailer introduces a new member to replace Bobby Berk.
Jonathan Van Ness and the Fab Five are back for ‘Queer Eye’ season nine. After Berk left at the end of season eight, interior designer Jeremiah Brent has joined the team for this season.
“The world is changing. We’ve grown and changed, even our cast has changed,” Karamo Brown says at the start of the 90-second trailer. “Girl, have you seen Jeremiah? She got the design skills, honey.”
In season nine, the Fab Five head to Las Vegas to help people wanting to change their lives. “Nine times the charm! This season, ‘Queer Eye’ brings its transformative magic to the iconic city of Las Vegas, where the Fab Five, now joined by interior designer Jeremiah Brent, meet a fresh group of individuals ready for a life-changing experience,” the logline mentioned.
It continued, “From a former showgirl struggling to regain her confidence to a dedicated librarian in need of a change, watch as the Fab Five light up Sin City and transform the lives of their heroes in spectacular Vegas style.”
Each member of the group has their own specialty. Tan France is the fashion expert, Brown focuses on culture and lifestyle, Antoni Porowski is the food and wine expert, and Van Ness handles beauty.
The Fab Five will tour select cities, and bring the magic of the show to live audiences. They will celebrate the new season with a special evening. The event will feature personal stories, surprises, and Q&As.
This new season comes after Berk left and a report about Van Ness’ ‘rage issues.’ The report said the tension between the group caused Berk to leave. It also claimed the work environment was ‘toxic,’ with some people calling Van Ness ‘abusive’ and a ‘monster.’
Van Ness said the article about them was wrong and taken out of context. They felt people were trying to find a reason to hate them. Berk said leaving ‘Queer Eye’ was his decision, but France said in an Instagram post that Berk was fired. France added that he didn’t get his friend Brent hired by firing someone else; Brent got the job because they were the best choice.
