Nicholas Hoult appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live to discuss his role as Lex Luthor in the upcoming ‘Superman’ movie. He also shared insights into the kind of Lex Luthor he hopes to portray.
Jimmy Kimmel joked with Hoult, asking, “What kind of Lex will you be? You’re going bald, right?”
Hoult replied, “I think it’s – I don’t like to talk about these things too far in advance; To let people have their opinion of it and make what they will. I think I want him to be dangerous though. I think James (Gunn) said the other day that he’s imposing, so hopefully that’s the case. I haven’t seen the film yet, so I don’t know.”
‘Superman,’ distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, will serve as the first film in the DC Universe (DCU) and a reboot of the ‘Superman’ movie franchise. Written and directed by James Gunn, the movie focuses on Superman’s journey to reconcile his alien heritage with his human upbringing. Part of DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters series, the film is scheduled for release in 2025. Nicholas Hoult will star as Lex Luthor, with David Corenswet playing Superman.
