Well-known comedian and filmmaker Adam Sandler, best known for his comedic roles in fan-favorite Hollywood films, took to his verified Instagram account to mourn a death of a legendary actor, Cloris Leachman.
Sandler, who appeared lastly in the comedy-mystery horror film, ‘Hubie Halloween,’ paid tribute to the late star Leachman; he first posted a TBT photo from the 2004 film, ‘Spanglish,’ where Sandler is portraying ‘John Clasky‘ while Leachman playing ‘Evelyn Wright,’ and then added a heartfelt message to honor her.
As known, on January 27, it was officially declared that Academy Award-winning actor had died from natural causes at the age of 94. According to the press statement of her longtime manager Juliet Green, she passed away at her home in Encinitas, California.
Once the devastating news spread, like many other celebs, Adam Sandler also went to social media accounts and released the following message to say goodbye to his castmate:
“Cloris Leachman. A true legend. One of the funniest of all time. And such a great lady. Loved her.”
Sandler continued by saying that it is impossible to forget the legacy of the ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show‘ star by saying:
“Will be missed terribly. And such a good family. Sending love to all. RIP”
