Adam Sandler made a surprise appearance on the December 14 episode of ‘Saturday Night Live (SNL)’ hosted by fellow comedian Chris Rock. In the sketch, Chris Rock plays a surgeon who is surrounded by medical staff during an appendectomy.
In the sketch, Sarah Sherman plays Linzley, a nurse who fills out an incorrect form, resulting in the removal of a patient’s gallbladder and the loss of one of her AirPods inside the patient. What makes Linzley special is that, tdespite being reckless, she takes full responsibility for her mistakes.
“Oh my God!” she exclaims, realizing she dropped her AirPod during surgery. “Okay, I’m just gonna own it. It was me.”
His colleagues are furious, but Rock tells them to calm down because when Linzley cries, he sounds like a Victorian ghost.
The patient, who is supposed to be under anesthesia, starts to stir. They open the blanket to reveal Sandler. Dr. Rock is shocked to see the patient awake and talking.
“Of course, I’m awake because I wasn’t given enough anesthesia,” Sandler mumbles.
Linzley insists it wasn’t really her fault, but Sandler doesn’t believe her. “We know it was you, Linzley!” he says, as the nervous nurse claims she will own that one, too.
Sandler defends her seconds before Linzley causes a burst artery, spraying blood on everyone.
