The fan-favorite CBS sitcom created by Chuck Lorre, Eddie Gorodetsky, and Gemma Baker, ‘Mom‘ is saying goodbye to the screen with its eighth & final season.
Following the news was announced by the producers and the channel, actor Allison Janney who is portraying the leading character, ‘Bonnie Plunkett‘ in said series went to her verified Instagram account both to express her gratitude for being a part of the series and thank viewers, cast, and crew.
After releasing a screenshot of the DEADLINE report announcing the series is going to end with its 8th season on CBS, the Academy Award-winning artist Janney wrote:
“Letting to be part of MOM these past 8 years…showing the laughter, love and hope that can come with recovery, has been one of the great honors of my life.”
Then the seven-time Screen Actors Guild Awards winner added a long list consisting of names she wanted to thank for making the series possible; she did not forget to give credit to her co-stars including Anna Faris who departed from the series back in November:
“And these amazingly talented actors I got to act with every day!!! Mimi, Jaime, Kristen, Beth, and the coolest man on the planet, Bill Fichtner. and of course Anna Faris.”
Following thanking the entire crew by saying that their “laughter and love and dedication to this show has made it a joy to come to work,” she concluded her words by addressing the fans of the series:
“And last but not least all of our extraordinary fans!!! Thank you for all of your support over the years🙏🏼”
