Well-known actor, an ambitious political activist at the same time, Alyssa Milano raised her voice against governor Andrew Cuomo and all the men who received harassment accusations and denied becoming part of the solution.
As known, the Governor of New York, Andrew M. Cuomo was accused by two female state employees of “unwanted advances.” According to the news published by New York Times, at New York City wedding reception in September 2019, the governor asked one of the employees if he could kiss her.
However, the governor stated in a press statement that he “might have said things that were misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation” instead of saying that he is sorry for the things he caused.
Once the news spread, ‘The Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later‘ actor took to Twitter and released the following message to criticize him. She wrote:
“Why is it so hard for men accused of sexual harassment to just say, ‘I am sorry for the hurt I’ve caused. I’m willing to listen. I want to grow. I’m 100% committed to being a part of the solution.’ Instead, they just gaslight and try to discredit the women. It’s such bullshit.”
Shortly after publishing this tweet, the actor took to her verified Instagram account and posted the screenshot of it with the following note:
“I hope there is a thorough unimpeded investigation of the accusations against Governor Cuomo.”
