Amanda Kloots honored her late husband, the 41-year-old Broadway star Nick Cordero with an online memorial. As remember, Cordero was diagnosed with COVID-19, and after 95 days in the hospital, died on July 5 of major lung damage as a result of the novel coronavirus.
The grieved wife Kloots posted a photo of herself with Cordero, and called out to him via the following message:
“You’ve been gone two months today. There isn’t a day I haven’t missed you, cried for you and wished I could go back in time.”
Then Kloots invited the fans of her late husband to attend to the public memorial by writing:
“Please join me tomorrow in the public memorial for Nick on www.broadwayondemand.com – it will go live 4pm PST/7pm EST. There has been so much love going into making this memorial as special as Nick was. Thank you to any and all who gave their time and talent so graciously.”
During the intimate memorial, Kloots recalled the time the actor was in the hospital, and shared the promise she gave to her husband with the fans. According to she said, Kloots promised Cordero to try live “this new life” and become the best version of herself for their 1-year-old son Elvis. She continued:
“This is a long journey ahead and a down road I never thought I’d be on.”
Later Kloots concluded her words by calling the actor, who previously appeared in ‘Waitress’ and ‘Rock of Ages,’ as her and their son’s angel:
“No one can tell me how to do it, I have to do it. I may do things right, I may do them wrong. There isn’t a perfect way. One day, one step at a time. I have faith that God is leading the way and that Nick is our angel.”
