Amazon Confirm ‘Reacher’ Spinoff Starring Maria Sten Is In Works

Sten will return as Frances Neagley in an upcoming series on Amazon.

Prime Video has announced a ‘Reacher’ spinoff, with the story focusing on Jack Reacher’s (Alan Ritchson) former military colleague Frances Neagley. Maria Sten who played the character in the action drama’s first two seasons will continue her role in this new show.

The production of the spinoff will involve Amazon MGM Studios, Skydance Television, and CBS Studios, the same teams behind the original series. The script will be co-created by Nick Santora and Nicolas Wootton.

Amazon’s Vernon Sanders said in a statement (per The Hollywood Reporter), “As ‘Reacher’ continues to resonate with our global customers in a profound way, expanding on the storytelling and characters with a spinoff was an easy decision.”

“With Nick and Nicholas as well as our partners Skydance and CBS Studios we’re confident this new chapter, starring the amazing Maria Sten, will not only honor the ‘Reacher’ legacy but also bring fresh energy and excitement to new and longtime fans alike.”

The executive production team will feature Nick Santora and Nicholas Wootton, along with the author of the novels, Lee Child, Don Granger, and Lisa Kussner as well as Skydance TV’s David Ellison, Goldberg, and Matt Thunell. Carolyn Harris, Kenny Madrid, and Niko Fernandez will oversee the project for Skydance.

Maria Sten will also return in the upcoming third season of the main ‘Reacher’ series, which began filming just before the second season’s release in December 2023.
