‘American Horror Stories’ Returns For A 5-Episode Halloween Special

The horror anthology series returns on October 15.

Deadline recently reported that ‘American Horror Stories’ is coming back for its fourth season with five new episodes as part of Hulu’s Huluween event. The show will also be internationally available on Disney+ (via Hulu).

There are no details about what to expect from the upcoming season yet, but the cast is reported to include Michael Imperioli, Henry Winkler, Debby Ryan, Jeff Hiller, Jessica Barden, Angel Bismark Curiel, Guy Barnet, June Squibb, Victor Garber, and Dyllón Burnside.

Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk created ‘American Horror Stories’ as a spinoff for FX’s long-running ‘American Horror Story’ a few years ago. Each episode so far stood alone with occasional crossovers with the main series, whose twelfth season wrapped up earlier this year.

‘American Horror Stories’ Season 4 is not the only project Murphy created for this year’s Halloween season. His new horror series for FX, ‘Grotesquerie,’ will also premiere a month ahead of the holiday.

Niecy Nash-Betts will lead the show as a detective investigating a series of severe crimes that start to feel increasingly personal. Courtney B. Vance, Lesley Manville, Micaela Diamond, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Raven Goodwin, and Travis Kelce will join her in the cast.

The first two episodes will air on September 25, and the rest will follow weekly in pairs.
