Andrew Garfield Joins Tom Hardy For A Completely New Project

Forget about Spider-Man fighting Venom for now, because Garfield and Hardy joined forces for a different kind of project.

Andrew Garfield and Tom Hardy are teaming up — but not for the Spider-Man vs. Venom movie everyone was guessing about. Instead, they’re bringing a story to life with an audiobook.

As per Empire Online, Garfield and Hardy are working on an audio drama based on George Orwell’s ‘1984.’ Garfield will be the voice of Winston Smith, and Hardy will voice Big Brother.

The audio drama also has other famous names in it. Cynthia Erivo will play Julia, Winston’s love interest. It is made by Destiny Ekaragha, who directed some episodes of ‘The End Of The F**ing World,’ and written by Joe White. There’s also special music by Matt Bellamy from the band Muse and composer Ilan Eshkeri.

You can give it a listen below.

Fans Wanted Them to Make a Spider-Man Movie

This might be a surprise for fans who were excited about a possible movie where Garfield’s Spider-Man fights against Hardy’s Venom. Many thought a new movie was on the way after both characters appeared in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’

Some fans are disappointed because they really wanted to see Spider-Man and Venom together in a movie:

“Not the Spider-Man vs. Venom project we wanted, but I’ll take it.”

Another wrote on Twitter:

“Yeah, because I wouldn’t want these 2 to collaborate on any other project… yeah.”

The audio drama will be available on Audible starting April 4, 2024.
