After receiving countless backlashes for her portrayal of ‘Grand Witch‘ in ‘The Witches’ movie, Anne Hathaway is now gearing up to meeting the viewers with another HBO movie, ‘Lockdown.’
To deliver the exciting news regarding the upcoming romantic comedy heist film, Hathaway took to her verified Instagram account and posted a photo of herself with actor and filmmaker Chiwetel Ejiofor, who received a BAFTA Award for Best Actor for his performance in ’12 Years a Slave‘ and wrote:
“So thrilled to announce that a tiny film I made this fall with Doug Liman, Steven Knight, and Chiwetel Ejiofor will be streaming on @HBOMax in January! It is called #Lockdown.“
Then ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ actor added filming for that project was a “crazy experience” and promised that she would tell her fans and followers more about the film during the promotion phase. The Academy Award-winning actor concluded her message in a highly hilarious tone by referring to the movie’s genre:
“In the meantime, here’s a snap of me and Chiwetel in Harrod’s at four AM just before we attempt to steal a diamond worth 3 million pounds (as you do in 2020.) ♥️💎♥️💎♥️💎♥️”
The film, directed by Doug Liman and written by Steven Knight, follows a criminal couple (portrayed by Hathaway and Ejiofor) who tries to pull off a jewelry heist during the coronavirus pandemic. The cast also includes Ben Stiller, Lily James, Stephen Merchant, Mindy Kaling, Ben Kingsley Lucy Boynton, Dulé Hill, Jazmyn Simon, Mark Gatiss.
‘Lockdown’ is first announced in September 2020 and it was scheduled to be released in 2021.
