One of the highest-paid actresses in the world, ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ star Anne Hathaway posted a photo through Instagram on June 13 and captioned it by expressing her support to Trans rights.
Numerous award-winning Anne Hathaway, including Golden Globe, Academy Award, and Primetime Emmy Award, remembered the victims of the Pulse Nightclub shooting and criticized Donald Trump due to his anti-trans actions and statements.
UN Women goodwill ambassador, the actress wrote:
“TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS.
In the middle of a pandemic,
in the middle of Pride Month,
on the fourth anniversary of the Pulse Nightclub shooting,
on the week Riah Milton and Dominique “Rem’mie” Fells – two Black Trans Women – were murdered,
Donald Trump erased Transgender civil rights protections in healthcare.”
Then the 37-year-old Hathaway urged people to vote against Trump to fight for trans rights:
“Vote him – and all the heartless cowards that support him – out.
To my Trans brothers and sisters: I am so sorry. I am so, so sorry. I love you, I stand with you, I will fight this alongside you.”
The forceful post of Anne Hathaway, who advocates gender equality through the various organizations, grabbed attention and many people granted her right.
