Anne Hathaway Pays Homage To Late Star Christopher Plummer: “I Love The Way You Lived”

Hollywood actor Anne Hathaway, who received numerous accolades throughout her acting career, including an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and a Primetime Emmy Award, paid tribute to another Academy Award-winning actor Christopher Plummer, through her verified Instagram account.

Hathaway, who grabbed attention with her latest project ‘Locked Down,’ released a photo of herself with Plummer from the Oscar night in 2012, and led a tribute to the late actor, who passed away on February 5, at the age of 91.

In her tribute, ‘The Dark Knight Rises‘ star recalled the days she had worked with the Broadway actor; as known, the two starred together in 2002 dated movie, ‘Nickleby.’ Referring to those days, Hathaway wrote that Plummer was a great co-star. In her own words:

“You were so kind to me when we worked on Nicolas Nickelby. I was 19, you were you; I was shaking in my Victorian boots, you were calm, steady, generous, and so, so funny.”

Then the Hollywood star, who portrayed ‘Madeline Bray‘ in the abovementioned movie, addressed the photo she had shared, and revealed that she was so excited that night when ‘The Exception‘ star presented the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress to her for her performance in the musical romantic drama ‘Les Misérables.’

Hathaway continued expressing how much she adores Plummer’s acting:

“In between you played Lear–my heart still pounds thinking of all the poetry you captured–and you conjured the performance of a lifetime in Beginners. Before all that, you were already a legend so many times over. I hope you felt all the love you created.”

At the end of her caption, the actor sent her condolences, said that she is so grateful for the memories, and added:

I love the way you lived, and the art you gave–both have inspired me to no end. I’m so happy to have gotten to spend time with you.”

The legendary actor, one of Hathaway’s favorites, died due to complications related to a fall; according to a statement issued by the Plummer family, the actor had “died peacefully at his home in Connecticut with his wife Elaine Taylor at his side.”
