Antonio Banderas, Daryl Sabara, And Alexa PenaVega Celebrate The 20th Anniversary Of ‘Spy Kids’

One of the most-watched adventure comedy family films, ‘Spy Kids‘ turned 20 on March 30; of course, the entire cast became sociable in order to mark the 20th release anniversary.

Hollywood actor Antonio Banderas who portrayed ‘Gregorio Cortez‘ in the film created by Robert Rodriguez and released on March 30, 2001, took to his verified Instagram account the other day. Banderas, who does not appear on social media frequently, released a couple of photos from the film, and asked his fans and followers whether they remember the film, or not; absolutely they do!

Academy Award-winning star wrote:

“Never send a grown-up to do a kid’s job… #SpyKids hit theaters 20 years old today. Do you remember?”

Meanwhile, Daryl Sabara, who played ‘Juni Cortez‘ in the film which received a nomination for Best Fantasy Film at the 28th Saturn Awards, also went to Instagram. Welcomed his first child with singer Meghan Trainor back on February 8, Sabara included a series of TBT photos with the cast, and addressed his child actor years:

“Who knew this lil guy would go on such an adventure 20+ years ago.”

Following the actor’s post, his wifey took to the comment section and wrote that she is married to a Spy Kid.

What’s more, Sabara’s co-star Alexa PenaVega, best known for starring ‘Carmen Cortez‘ in the said film, updated her Instagram feed with a bunch of ‘Spy Kids’ memories and stated that being a part of this movie is so blessing. The actor, who is currently expecting her third child, continued her message as follows:

“How on earth was this 20 years ago?! Only the absolute best memories with my forever family. The amount of love I have for every single person a part of this cast and crew. You guys made my childhood!!!”

PenaVega concluded her words by saying that ‘Spy Kids’ was a great opportunity especially for her and Sabara as child stars.
