The historical comedy-drama web television series ‘Dickinson’ that is based on the life of Emily Dickinson, is ready to be released for season 2; the first three episodes of the half-hour comedy, created by Alena Smith, will be out on January 8, 2021.
Regarding the new season, renewed in October 2019, Academy Award-nominated actress, Hailee Steinfeld, portraying ‘Emily Dickinson’ in the series, shared the season 2 date announcement video clip, and added a captioned that reads:
“I’m so excited to bring Emily back for another wild ride… @dickinson season 2 premieres JANUARY 8 on the @appletv app!!! 😈”
Apple TV also made the announcement via the following words:
“Emily’s quest for fame has only just begun. A new season of Dickinson premieres January 8 on the Apple TV app.”
In season 2, set in the 19th century, the main character will have to tackle with her private literary life and the consequences of fame. What’s more, while Jane Krakowski, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt, Toby Huss, Adrian Blake Enscoe, and Wiz Khalifa returning, Nick Kroll, Timothy Simons, Ayo Edebiri, and Will Pullen will appear as guest stars for the second season.
According to news obtained by DEADLINE, ahead of season 2, Apple TV picked the series up for a third season.
