Armie Hammer Says He Can’t Even Afford Gas Anymore After Fighting With Abuse Allegations

Armie Hammer is selling his truck because he can’t afford gas.

In a new Instagram video, Armie Hammer revealed that he is selling a truck because he can’t pay for gas anymore after abuse allegations.

“I bought this for myself in 2017 as a Christmas gift for myself because I’ve had pickup trucks for a long time and I have loved this truck intensely,” the actor said.

He said he’s taken the truck on many road trips and camping trips, but he’s selling it because he can’t afford it. He added, “I can’t afford the gas anymore.”

In 2021, multiple women accused Hammer of rape and sexual misconduct. One woman, Effie, shared screenshots of messages where he talked about cannibalistic fantasies. The actor was dropped by his agent and publicist and lost some projects but denies the accusations.

The LA District Attorney said last year they wouldn’t pursue Effie’s case, and no other cases have been brought against him. Now, due to financial problems from these accusations, Hammer has been facing financial problems.

Last month, Hammer said he was thankful for the trouble he faced after the sexual misconduct claims. In a talk with Bill Maher on the Club Random podcast, Hammer noted, “[I’m grateful for the fallout because] had none of this gone on … my life would have kept going exactly as it was. And I know that that would ultimately only lead in one place, and that’s death.”

“I experienced an ego death, a career death, financial death, all of these things. … You’ve got to die,” the actor added. “And once you die, you can then be reborn. [It was] incredibly liberating because [I was previously] preoccupied with how I was perceived, which now [I] don’t have to care about. Once everyone just decides that they hate you, you go, ‘Oh, well, then I don’t need anything from you people anyway.'”

In July 2022, it was reported that Hammer was working as a timeshare salesman at a hotel in the Cayman Islands to support his family after losing money from the allegations.
