Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared as Mr. Freeze and Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy opposite George Clooney’s Batman in 1997’s ‘Batman & Robin.’ Almost 30 years later, the actors reunited and paid tribute to their DC villains in a recent Instagram post.
“Freeze and Ivy, reunited. Watch out, Batman,” the Freeze actor captioned a selfie with Thurman. She shared the same photo on her account, writing, “Freeze and Ivy back together again – super tight and super cool in a warming world!”

Schwarzenegger came back together with another ‘Batman’ villain earlier this year as well. He presented the awards for best visual effects and best film editing at the 96th Academy Awards with Danny DeVito, who played The Penguin in Tim Burton’s ‘Batman Returns.’
The two playfully recalled how Batman defeated their characters in their respective films on stage and then poked fun at Michael Keaton. Schwarzenegger told the actor joining their banter with a stone face, “You have a lot of nerve to show your face around here.” “You are a real beak breaker. We’ll see you after the Governor’s Ball, pal,” DeVito added.
The Penguin actor later showed interest in reprising his role in a future Batman project that might include Keaton and Schwarzenegger. But DC Studios has not announced any plans to revisit any of the hero’s earlier versions.
Currently, co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran are planning a reboot focusing on the Bat-Family with new actors. Titled ‘The Brave and the Bold,’ the upcoming film doesn’t have a release date yet, though.
