‘Avatar’ star Zoe Saldaña spoke with W Magazine on January 3, sharing candid details about her first kiss and childhood celebrity crushes.
Saldaña revealed her first kiss experience and explained her feelings with humor and honesty. She said:
“Okay, it was with a girl. Girls are such better kissers. I think I must have been like 13 or 14. I was that girl like, ‘Let’s play house.’ I was always telling my friends that, and that’s why I wasn’t invited to play at people’s houses. So that was like I was already kissing like a whole bunch of girls by the time I was 13-14. My first kiss, though, on an official relationship… I was almost 15. Who did have a crush on growing up? Oh my God, I’m so shy about this. I did have a crush on Prince and Annie Lennox. I can’t believe I’m saying this! Cuz there was masculine and a man that is feminine. I just I find that to be really sexy.”
Zoe Saldaña had the pivotal role in the movie ‘Center Stage,’ which tells the story of a group of dancers. She then played a pirate named Anamaria in the 2003 film ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.’ She was part of the cast of the ‘Star Trek’ movie with the role of Uhura. In 2009, she played one of the lead roles in James Cameron’s ‘Avatar,’ portraying a Na’vi princess named Neytiri.
