‘Avengers, Assemble!’: But This Time, It’s For Kamala Harris

Avengers actors joined forces again to endorse Kamala Harris.

In a show of support for Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign, several stars of Marvel’s Avengers teamed up to rally for the Vice President.

Mark Ruffalo organized a video endorsement featuring ‘Avengers’ cast members to encourage people to vote for Harris. Ruffalo talked about how much is at stake in the upcoming election in his post on Twitter. “Don’t sit this one out,” he told fans. “It’s the one where we will lose big: Project 2025, women’s reproductive rights, climate change, LGBTQIA+ rights, public education, student debt relief, Affordable Care Act, Social Security, and as of today, life-saving vaccines. This sh*t is real and it’s going to come for you.”

The video opens with Scarlett Johansson saying, “Thanks for jumping on the call,” to which Samuel L. Jackson responds, “I think you mean assembling!” Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, and Black Panther star Danai Gurira were also part of the call. Gurira expresses her excitement during the video, saying, “It is our pleasure to come together and to get the vote out this election.”

The Avengers stars even joked about creating a slogan for Kamala Harris, with Gurira suggesting “Kamala Forever.” They ended up choosing “I’m Kamala Harris, and I’m down with democracy,” but it’s unclear if Harris will use the catchphrase in her campaign.

This isn’t the only celebrity support Harris received. She’s also backed by Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyoncé, Sarah Jessica Parker, Drew Carey, Eminem, Andy Cohen, Ben Stiller, Willie Nelson, Cher, Mandy Patinkin, Marc Anthony, Mariska Hargitay, Lizzo, Anne Hathaway, Geraldo Rivera, Neil Young, Poorna Jagannathan, Dave Bautista, Jennifer Lawrence, Billie Eilish, and more.

Harris is gathering a powerful group of celebrity supporters who are joining forces to encourage people to vote. They are all rallying behind her as the election approaches.
