One of the most recognized actors & filmmakers, Barbra Streisand jumped into her social media channels in order to pay homage to legendary singer Price, on the 5th anniversary of his passing.
The recipient of Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe, Oscar, and Tony Award, both through Instagram and Twitter, shared a photo of herself with Price, which captured on the day which she was presented the MusiCares Person of the Year.
On her verified Twitter account, Alongside the photo, taken back in 2011, Streisand showed her love for the star with the following words:
“Thinking of Prince today on the 5th anniversary of his passing.”
Then the first woman to receive Golden Globe Award for Best Director, continued her tribute as follows:
“He was such a wonderful, multitalented artist with great style. It was a thrill to have him present me with the MusiCares award back in 2011.”
As known, the musician, born Prince Rogers Nelson, passed away back on April 21, 2016. At that time, the Minnesota police station released a couple of photos and videos and confirmed that he was found unresponsive in an elevator at his studio.
Just a little after the devasting news spread, authorities announced the singer, who has been marked as one of the greatest musicians, passed away of an accidental overdose.
