‘Beetlejuice 3’ Gets Green Light From Producer — Tim Burton Is In

Harper says the possibility is open, and Tim Burton is still involved.

We might be getting another ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel as the ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ producer recently hinted that a third movie could be on the way.

Producer Tommy Harper, who also worked with Tim Burton on the Netflix show ‘Wednesday,’ said that he’s all in for ‘Beetlejuice 3.’ Nothing is confirmed yet, though. He told Deadline, “I think with Tim’s love for the title and the characters, the door is open, but we’ll see what happens next.”

‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ has been a big success at the box office. It has made $330 million worldwide so far — more than doubling its $99 million budget. This makes it Burton’s biggest hit since his live-action ‘Dumbo’ movie in 2019.

Burton isn’t really sure about doing a third ‘Beetlejuice.’ He joked during a press conference at the Venice Film Festival in August that it took 35 years to make the second movie. “For another, I’d be over 100 years old. It could be possible thanks to medical science.”

The sequel stars Michael Keaton as Beetlejuice, alongside Winona Ryder, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Willem Dafoe, and Jenna Ortega. The movie ends with a hint that the story might not be over for Ryder’s character Lydia Deetz and her daughter (Jenna Ortega). This suggests a possible direction for a third movie.

‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ continues to play in theaters, bringing in more viewers and keeping Tim Burton’s iconic characters alive for a new generation.
