Michael Keaton recently posted a video on Instagram, addressing Donald Trump and Elon Musk supporters, who plan to attend their rallies.
“For some of you folks, guys mostly, who are thinking of attending a rally with Musk and Trump… They don’t really respect you, they laugh at you behind your back, they think you’re stupid,” the actor said. “They don’t want to hang out with you. They have nothing in common with you. They’re not your bros.”
“When Trump years ago said ‘I could shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue and they’d still vote for me,’ basically what he is saying is that these people are so dumb and so stupid they’d still vote for him. They have no respect for you, trust me.”
Musk showed up at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, earlier this month wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ hat. The billionaire and founder of SpaceX has publicly supported Trump, describing the 2024 election as a critical ‘must-win situation.’
In contrast, Keaton attended a campaign event for Kamala Harris in Pennsylvania Tuesday, highlighting the state’s importance in the upcoming election.
“This is getting really, really scary,” the actor said in a clip from the event. “And me? If (Trump) gets elected, chances are, I’ll be OK. Middle class ain’t going to be OK. And if you’re young, you sure enough ain’t going to be OK. I’m telling you, it’s going to get bad.”
Keaton’s latest movie, ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,’ became a box office hit last month, earning $434 million worldwide.
