Bella Thorne, who gained recognition for her role as ‘CeCe Jones’ on the Disney Channel series ‘Shake It Up,’ issued an apology to OnlyFans‘ performers, and creators through Twitter, on August 30.
As known, on August 19, the former Nickelodeon star joined OnlyFans, where explicit content is produced. According to what she stated, and confirmed by platform, she had earned $1 million the day she joined and acquired $2 million in the first six days. Thorne told that she invest some of the money in the site as research for an upcoming film project with Sean Baker, during an interview with Los Angeles Times. Also, she stated that a part of the Money would go to the organization as a donation.
However, Sean Baker made a statement through Twitter and denied making a film about the website and using Bella Thorne as research. He also advised her to consult with the content creators and to not hurt the work industry.
While Baker stating in this way, OnlyFans performers blamed the young actress for changing the policy of the site and causing the site to limit the amount of money they can make. Besides, the site users & visitors claimed that she lied over the nature of her photos, and they demanded a refund.
After all these allegations, the 22-years-old star took to Twitter and wrote:
“I was trying to do, to help bring more faces to the site to create more revenue for content creators on the site.”
Then, Thorne apologized to the creators of the site by writing:
“I wanted to bring attention to the site, the more people on the site the more likely of a chance to normalize the stigmas, And in trying to do this I hurt you. I have risked my career a few times to remove the stigma.”
