Billy Maximoff Actor Joe Locke Reacts To The Big Twist In ‘Agatha All Along’ Finale

The finale caused a lot of talk among fans, some of which didn’t approve of it, but Locke found the reveal very fitting. (Spoilers!)

‘Agatha All Along’ started with Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) and Billy Maximoff forming a new coven to pass the Witches’ Road to get whatever they desired the most. But in the end, the story showed the Road never even existed.

The two-part finale that aired last week revealed that Agatha made up the lore with her son, Nicky, to lure other witches and absorb their powers. The Purple Witch planned to do the same to her new coven in her basement, but Billy surprisingly made the Road real with his powers.

Joe Locke loved that ending, according to his recent interview on the ‘Official Marvel Studios Podcast’: “I was like audibly gasped, like really giddy, because I know it’s such a cool twist and makes everything make so much sense. It also shows the extent of Billy’s powers and how he’s so much like his mother, even subconsciously.”

The finale also delved into Agatha’s past with Death/Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza). Apparently, the Green Witch upset her lover by taking her son centuries ago, resulting in their animosity.

Their story concluded for now after Agatha kissed Death to save Billy, leading to her own death. The dead witch later returned as a ghost and set on a journey with Billy to find his brother Tommy.

It’s clear that we’ll see the duo again in a future MCU project, possibly reunited with other Maximoffs though ‘Agatha All Along’ won’t likely return for another season.
