Rumors are going around that Marvel Studios may be working on a solo project for Namor, the Submariner.
Namor first appeared in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ played by Tenoch Huerta. Namor starts as an enemy of Shuri in the movie, but they eventually become uneasy allies to protect Wakanda. As per ComicBookMovie, insider Daniel Richtman reports that he will return to the MCU with a solo project, and it’s already in the works.
‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ continues the story after the death of King T’Challa. Queen Ramonda, Shuri, M’Baku, Okoye, and the Dora Milaje work together to protect Wakanda from outside threats. They are helped by War Dog Nakia and Everett Ross.
Huerta May Not Return To Play Namor
Huerta has recently been in the news for different reasons. He was accused of sexual assault by saxophonist María Elena Ríos last year. Huerta denied the allegations, saying their relationship was consensual and that the claims were false. He even hired a legal team to clear his name.
This situation made Huerta decide to leave his Netflix film ‘Fiesta en la Madriguera’ to focus on restoring his reputation.
It’s not clear if Huerta will return as Namor in this new project. He may be replaced, similar to how Jonathan Majors was fired from his role as Kang after being convicted of assault. It’s important to note that Huerta was never formally charged with any crime.
Richtman doesn’t reveal if the new Namor project will be a movie or a Disney+ series, and it’s likely still in the early stages of development.
