Bobby Moynihan Shares His Dream To Play LEGO Star Wars Character in Live-Action

The actor wants to appear as an ‘alien creature’ in a new ‘Star Wars’ live-action project.

Bobby Moynihan previously voiced Orka in the 2018 animated series ‘Star Wars Resistance.’ He recently returned to the ‘Star Wars’ universe as Bobarian Afol in the Disney+ four-part miniseries ‘LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy.’

Now, the actor has his eyes set on a live-action role in the franchise, as either of his animated characters. “I enjoy ‘Star Wars’ acting – I really want to do live-action ‘Star Wars,’” he recently told ComicBook.

“I really want to play some sort of alien creature where you can’t see my face – a slug or something. My dream is live-action Orka. Me in a live-action Orka costume, shrunk down, that’s my dream.”

Moynihan appears in the latest ‘Star Wars’ special alongside Gaten Matarazzo, Tony Revolori, and Ahmed Best. The plot follows Matarazzo’s Sig Greebling as he gets thrown into an alternate reality where the good guys are bad, and the bad guys are good.

Executive producer James Waugh describes the project as “a celebration of all things ‘Star Wars,’ LEGO, and the incredible explorations that can only happen when these two amazing brands come together.”

Chris Buckley directs ‘LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy’ with a script by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, who also work as showrunners. The series now streams on Disney+.
