Bokeem Woodbine’s Net Worth Is Less Than Expected Even After Spider-Man And Fargo Roles

Bokeem Woodbine came to public attention with roles in films mostly made by Black directors and gathered a fanbase with his part as Mike Milligan in ‘Fargo.’ Still, despite appearing in many other popular projects over the years, Woodbine’s fortune ended up lower than expected.

Bokeem Woodbine started acting in 1992 with a debut role in ‘CBS Schoolbreak Special’ and received the latest praises for his acting in ‘The Inspection’ last year. Throughout his three-decade career, he also appeared in many projects, from ‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’ to ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming.’ Let’s see how much money all these years brought to the 50-year-old actor by 2023!

Woodbine’s Early Career

Starting off in the film industry, Woodbine acted in several movies directed by Black filmmakers. In 1994, he appeared in Spike Lee’s ‘Crooklyn’ and Doug McHenry’s ‘Jason’s Lyric.’ The next year, he was in ‘Panther’ and ‘Dead Presidents.’ His 90s filmography included titles like ‘Freeway,’ ‘The Rock,’ and ‘The Big Hit,’ as he also appeared alongside Tupac Shakur in ‘Gridlock’d.’

Entering the 2000s, Woodbine was seen in ‘3000 Miles To Graceland’ and ‘The Breed,’ with a notable role following in 2004’s ‘Ray.’ His later work came in various genres, including thrillers, action, and comedy films.

His Roles In ‘Fargo’ And ‘Spider-Man’

Woodbine’s performance in ‘Fargo’ as Mike Milligan was well-received, leading to a few award nominations, including a Critics’ Choice Television Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. This role was a key point in his career, as it brought him lots of praise.

Later, the actor joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Herman Schultz/Shocker in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming.’ As he revealed in an interview about the film, the actor didn’t even audition for the part and accepted it after a phone call he got from the studio. He may possibly reprise the role in future projects.

The Actor’s Other Notable Works

Woodbine’s career includes a mix of different movie genres. In 2010, he was in two horror/thriller films named ‘Devil’ and ‘Across the Line: The Exodus of Charlie Wright.’ Later, he also appeared in science fiction movies like ‘Total Recall’ and ‘The Host.’ With other roles in ‘1982,’ ‘The Night Crew,’ ‘Billionaire Boys Club,’ and ‘Queen & Slim,’ the actor is now a cast member in the TV show ‘Halo’ as Soren-066.

His Net Worth As An ‘Underrated Actor’

In recent years, Woodbine received praise for his role in ‘The Inspection.’ Film director Elegance Bratton has spoken highly of his acting skills as Leland Laws in the 2022 drama by calling him ‘one of the best living’ in his notes.

Woodbine, on the other hand, sees himself more in supporting roles rather than as a leading man while, after many years in the industry, his estimated net worth stands at $3 million.
