Brad Pitt’s F1 Movie Gets Its First Trailer

The film features Pitt as a retired driver returning to the racing world.

A teaser trailer dropped for Brad Pitt’s new racing movie ‘F1.’

The teaser trailer focuses on the racing action and has minimal dialogue. One of the standout lines is when Pitt’s character talks about how top teams like Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, and McLaren are faster on straight tracks. He says:

“Our shot is battling in the turns. We need to build our car for combat.”

Another key moment is when Kerry Condon’s character asks:

“How am I supposed to make that safe?”

And Pitt’s character responds:

“Who said anything about safe?”

You can watch the trailer below.

Pitt’s Take On His Character

Brad Pitt described his character as someone who had a terrible crash and left Formula 1 to race in other disciplines:

“[Sonny Hayes] has a horrible crash, kind of craps out and disappears, and is racing in other disciplines. His friend, played by Javier Bardem, is a team owner. They’re a last-placed team… They’ve never scored a point. They have a young phenom played by Damson Idris. He brings me in as a kind of Hail Mary, and hijinks ensue.”

‘F1’ includes other cast members like Tobias Menzies, Sarah Niles, Kim Bodnia, and Samson Kayo. It is directed by ‘Top Gun: Maverick’s Joseph Kosinski and is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Brad Pitt, and seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton. Filming took place at real Formula 1 events, including the British Grand Prix.

‘F1’ is set to hit theaters in June 2025, with an international release date of June 25 and a North American release date of June 27.
