Cameron Diaz And Jamie Foxx Return To Screens With ‘Back In Action’

Diaz and Foxx are back in Netflix’s new movie, ‘Back in Action.’

Cameron Diaz and Jamie Foxx are making a comeback in their new Netflix movie, ‘Back in Action.’

According to the Wrap, ‘Back in Action’ sees Diaz and Foxx play former CIA agents, Emily and Matt. The logline reads:

“Years after giving up life as CIA spies to start a family, Emily and Matt find themselves dragged back into the world of espionage when their cover is blown.”

The movie is directed and co-written by ‘Baywatch’ director Seth Gordon. Other names in the movie include Glenn Close, Kyle Chandler, and Andrew Scott.

The Film’s Production Wasn’t Easy

Filming for ‘Back In Action’ happened between December 2022 and April 2023, but there were some problems. There were rumors that Foxx was difficult to work with, but Diaz later denied these. Then Foxx had a serious health issue in April 2023, so body doubles had to finish some of his scenes. He has fully recovered now.

Foxx appeared in the comedy film ‘Not Another Church Movie’ as God on May 10, 2024. The movie also stars Mickey Rourke, Kyla Pratt, Vivica A. Fox, and Jasmine Guy. Foxx is also working on the next season of ‘Beat Shazam.’

Diaz is also filming a black comedy called ‘Outcome.’ The film also stars Keanu Reeves and Jonah Hill. ‘Back in Action’ marks her return to acting after ten years away from Hollywood. Her last movie was ‘Annie’ in 2014.

‘Back In Action’ hits Netflix on November 15.
