Academy Award-winning actress Brie Larson, who currently portrayed ‘Carol Danvers’ in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films ‘Captain Marvel’ and ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ showed off her playing guitar & singing skills, with an Instagram video. The actress, on International Day of the Girl Child, covered The Chicks‘ most acclaimed song ‘For Her,’ and encourage all of the girls to stand up.
Larson stated that she loved the song since it came out earlier this year, and the words “stand up, show up for her” felt her like such a needed call to action.
The ‘Room’ star clarified the video with the following words:
“I wanted to share this in honor of #DayOfTheGirl and a reminder to us all: Let’s continue to stand up and show up for all of the girls who’ve been rendered incapable of reaching their potential because they are women.”
Then the actress, who uses her celebrity to speak about social issues such as gender equality, body positivity, and political corruption, urged her 7 million Instagram followers to join her in donating to Girls Opportunity Alliance, which is the non-profit organization that helps adolescent girls to get a proper education.
