Cara Delevigne is gearing up making a wave with her upcoming movie ‘Life in a Year,’ directed by Mitja Okorn.
The ‘Paper Towns‘ actor uploaded the official trailer for the movie on November 25 to her verified Instagram account and expressed how much she is excited about its release. Delevingne, who recently appeared on Rihanna’s Savage X show, added the following caption alongside the video which sees her wearing different shades of wigs:
“Live and love in the moment. I’m so excited that my new film @lifeinayearmovie with @c.syresmith by @mitjaokorn is out THIS FRIDAY 11/27 on @amazonprimevideo !! I can’t wait for you to see it!”
Along with the 27-year-old star, previously starring in ‘Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets’ and ‘Suicide Squad,’ Jaden Smith appears in the film, produced by Overbrook Entertainment, for which Jaden’s parents Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith serve as producers.
While Delevingne portrays ‘Isabelle’ who is struggling with stage 3 ovarian cancer, Smith playing ‘Darcy’, her romantic interest. The film follows this couple and their desire to spend most of their year together while ‘Isabelle’ battling cancer.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly Okorn told about his first U.S. movie:
“It’s definitely not a pretty sobbing film. It gets you right in the gut. Oh my gosh, I cried all the time.”
Then the director admitted that he had cried while reading the script for the first time and claimed that the movie is highly different from Hollywood’s sick-lits. Later Okorn said that ‘Life in a Year’ is a movie from the heart and reflects real-life without making viewers feel mechanically made.
The upcoming film will be released on November 27, 2020, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
