Cassandra Peterson, singer, and actor, who gained international fame as the lead actor of the film ‘Elvira: Mistress of the Dark,’ led a tribute to her co-star John Paragon.
On June 18, the 69-year-old star took to her verified Instagram account so as to honor the memory of her late friend; as known, actor, writer, and director Paragon passed away at the age of 66 his Palm Springs home back on April 3. However, the devastating news regarding the tragic passing of the actor was not announced until June 18.
To remember the late star, Peterson released a couple of old photos of herself with Paragon, best known for starring ‘Jambi the Genie‘ on ‘Pee-wee’s Playhouse,’ and added a message that reads:
“Lost someone who meant the world to me. He was such a huge part of ‘Elvira’ and my life that it’s impossible to express how sad I feel.”
Peterson continued her heartbreaking tribute devoted to the 66-year-old star with these words:
“John Paragon, my writing partner of 27 years… my friend, my brother, my soul-mate. I will miss you and love you forever, Johnny R.I.P.”
The news regarding the death of the actor was confirmed by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Coroner; Sgt. Albert Martinez of the Sheriff’s Department stated that the cause of the passing of Paragon is “heart disease and chronic alcohol abuse.”
