Speaking to Deadline, Catherine Zeta-Jones shared hints about the new season of ‘Wednesday’ and praised her co-stars Jena Ortega and Lady Gaga.

Zeta-Jones recently wrapped filming the second season of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ series, which is scheduled to premiere in 2025. Playing the iconic Morticia Addams, she described working on the second season as “just wonderful.”

When asked if she could share any hints about the upcoming season, Zeta-Jones replied, “First of all, to be part of ‘Wednesday’ and phenomenal success on a generational level that we never expected from little kids to grandparents you know, I think ‘The Addams Family’ in general is part of our kind of culture and is rooted within us all. And to have Tim Burton’s Vision… When I first was cast as Morticia Addams,  I was like ‘How hasn’t Tim Burton done this before?’ It’s just wonderful. So, to go back um to do a second season was just wonderful. The great Jena Ortega, who really runs the show, I cannot say enough about her as a young woman, as an actor, and actually she’s producing this second season. It was pretty impressive to watch. And we have a whole array of new actors coming in.”

When asked about Lady Gaga’s involvement in the series, Zeta-Jones said: “Gaga – I never had to work with Gaga – but she was around, and I got to meet her, and I was like a total starstruck fan – totally starstruck. But I think everyone has waited long enough for Season 2 and I think they will not be disappointed.”

The second season of ‘Wednesday’ is expected to arrive in 2025.
