Late actor Chadwick Boseman‘s older brother, Kevin Boseman revealed that he has been in cancer remission for two years.
Boseman, who lost her brother, ‘Black Panther‘ actor Chadwick of cancer, celebrated 2 years of remission through an Instagram post. He posted the following message to his Instagram stories:
“Today marks my official two-year remission anniversary, October 14, 2020.”
Then the dancer and choreographer went on saying in another story:
“I was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and underwent four rounds of chemotherapy. I’m in remission!!!!! You read that right.”
The good news delivered by Kevin came almost two months after the actor had passed away at the age of 43. As already known, Boseman died after a four-year battle with colon cancer, on August 28.
Kevin, who chose not to make public his medical condition for years, recently revealed through social media that he also battled cancer. The older brother, having been diagnosed with cancer in 2018, wrote:
“I wanted to share because, while it’s been a year of profound loss and tragedy for so many of us, this is good news. Something to smile about. Something to shout about.”
He also added that cancer was something most of us have no control over, so, we could only control our responses to it, which includes being proactive about our healthcare both physically and mentally.
Later he urged people to visit doctors regularly to get checked for early prevention.
