A Hollywood legend, Charlize Theron has something to say to the fans of ‘The Old Guard.’
On July 2, the recipient of the awards including an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Golden Globe Award, took to her verified Twitter account and shared the link of the Variety report titled “Charlize Theron Says ‘Old Guard’ Sequel Script Complete, Filming to Begin Early Next Year.”
Theron, who portrayed ‘Andy’ in the film directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and written by Greg Rucka, did not skip to comments the news; she wrote:
“Let’s go to work.”
Via the tweet, Theron confirmed the news that she is ready to get back to the set to appear in the fan-favorite film’s sequel.
According to news obtained by the Senior Culture & Events Editor Marc Malkin, the script is done for the new installment. In the article, Malkin also heralded that ‘Marwan Kenzari’ and ‘Luca Marinelli’ will feature in the sequel. In his own words:
“The gay couple, played by Marwan Kenzari and Luca Marinelli, will be back, too. ‘Oh, yeah!’ Theron says. ‘They’re definitely there.'”
Production for the film based on Rucka’s comic book of the same name will begin in 2022.
