The Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award winner Charlize Theron wore a ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ mask and worked out for the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP).
The CTAOP, founded by the actress, helps “African youth to keep themselves safe from HIV.” To support the organization Theron hosted a drive-in screening of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ in Los Angeles. Almost 90 cars attended the show and the tickets were sold for $1,000 for two people.
‘The Cider House Rules’ star posted a crew selfie she had taken during the event, and captioned it as follows:
“Thanks to everyone who drove in last night in support of @ctaop – especially this crew who are just as stunning with half their faces covered @aishatyler @nicholashoult @kylethomasbuchanan. Was so nice to escape the house for a night in a safe way, and I so appreciate everyone for rocking their masks all night and keeping socially distant in their cars. Special shout out to @thegrovela for having us, and letting us experience the madness of Fury Road on the big screen again.”
Then she urged her followers to wear masks against coronavirus:
“Stay safe out there everyone, keep those masks on, and remember.”
The female lead of Australian post-apocalyptic action film, directed by George Miller, concluded her message with the following hashtags:
#YourActionsSaveLives! #MadMasks 😷”
