Chucky Is Set To Return To Screens, Director Confirms

Get ready for more Chucky, because Don Mancini has confirmed a new movie is coming.

‘Chucky’ director Don Mancini recently shared some big news with Scream Dreams Podcast: a new Chucky movie is in the making!

‘Chucky’s third season on TV still has new episodes to be released, but Mancini is already thinking about what’s next. He spilled the beans about his plans while chatting with the hosts, Catherine, James, and Barbara, saying:

“Like anyone in this business, I want to do more things. I mean, at this point, though, if it’s only Chucky, I’m totally cool with that. I have other things I want to do. I’m working on a new pilot. I’m also actually in the early stages of working on a new ‘Chucky’ movie. At this point my my goal is just to keep working, whatever keeps me working I’m very happy.”

Mancini also hinted at a fun idea for the new Chucky movie — sending Chucky to space. He’s considering it if fans are really into the idea.

New Episodes For Chucky Series Coming Soon

Mancini isn’t just the brain behind the ‘Chucky’ films; he’s also directed some and even took charge of the Chucky TV series.

There have been seven Chucky movies before the TV series started. Their stories all connect to each other. And let’s not forget the 2019 ‘Child’s Play’ movie remake, which took a different path and isn’t part of the original Chucky story.

The first two seasons of ‘Chucky’ are available for streaming on Peacock and Shudder. The newest episodes from season 3 will be easier to watch. They’ll air on SYFY and USA Network on April 10 and then be available to stream the next day on Peacock.
