‘Clerks’ Creator Kevin Smith Admits That ‘Star Wars’ Dominates His Entire Life, Even His Wedding

Filmmaker, producer, and writer Kevin Smith, best known for his works such as ‘Clerks,’ ‘Dogma,’ and ‘Chasing Amy,’ jumped into his verified Instagram account in order to celebrate Star Wars Day as he reveals a truth regarding his life which “directed by the fantasy film series.”

On May 4, he released a series of photos showing his love for ‘Star Wars‘ and described them as “a selection of shots in which you can count the ways in which things that happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away impacted” her life.

Alongside the photo gallery that includes Zack & Miri poster from overseas, SModcast poster, and a photo from his wedding ceremony, Smith wrote that ‘Star Wars’ has played a big role in his entire life both as a fan and a creator. In his own words:

“May the 4th be with you! The Star Wars folks have gotten a few bucks out of me over the decades – but I feel like I’ve gotten far more out of them! Happy Star Wars Day, kids!”

Via the photo, that shows him marrying Jennifer Schwalbach Smith at Skywalker Ranch, Smith proved that he is the unapologetic superfan of the series.

As known, Smith has shown that he is obsessed with a galaxy far far away through ‘Star Wars’ references in his movies such as ‘Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back’ in which Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill appeared as a guest, ‘Live Free or Die Hard,’ ‘Fanboys,’ and ‘The Return of Return of the Jedi.’

What’s more, he also appeared in the fan-favorite documentary titled ‘Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed,’ and made a cameo in ‘The Rise of Skywalker.’
