Dafne Keen Wants To Play MCU’s Laura/X-23 For The Rest Of Her Life

Dafne Keen wishes to play Laura/X-23 in the MCU always.

In a new interview with Empire Magazine, Dafne Keen said she is totally ready to be Laura/X-23 in the MCU.

“I would 100% do this for the rest of my life,” the actress replied when asked if she wants to keep playing this character in the MCU.

In ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ Wolverine meets Laura, his ‘daughter’ from another Earth. We first saw her in 2017’s ‘Logan,’ where Wolverine gave up his life to help her and other young mutants.

In this movie, Wolverine is from a different reality. By the end, he moves to Earth-100005 with Wade Wilson and Laura, who was saved by the TVA.

Blade, Elektra, and Gambit wore superhero costumes, but X-23 was dressed in regular clothes. Marvel Studios made us wait for Wolverine’s mask, so there might be a good reason X-23 didn’t get a costume, especially with ‘Avengers: Secret Wars’ coming up.

“I would love to come back. I would pay them to come back,” Keen also talked about her MCU future last month. “Playing Laura has been the biggest honor of my life. To me, we’ve only scratched the surface with her since she’s such a complex character. She’s so cool, just from a fan’s standpoint.”

During the interview, the actress made it clear she’s ‘Logan’s Laura, not a Variant that resembles her. She stated, “[Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy] ere like, ‘Not a Variant. You went along with the kids for a few years and then you got zapped. You’ve been in the TVA for a few years now. You lost your accent because you were in America for a while.”

Dafne added, “You’re a very intelligent kid, you learned English when you were with Logan…to you, you are Logan’s Laura so seeing this person again is, ‘Whoa, this is my dad who I haven’t seen for years.'”

Some fans think X-23 could take over as the MCU’s Wolverine instead of bringing in a new actor to replace Hugh Jackman. ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ is now in theaters.
