Daisy Ridley has some ‘strange’ worries about her comeback as Rey for a new Star Wars movie.
In a recent interview with Total Film, Ridley talked about how she feels preparing to play Rey again. She said she sometimes can’t remember exactly how she acted in her previous Star Wars films:
“I honestly have had moments where I’m like, ‘I don’t know if I remember what I did [as Rey]. It’s really strange. I think the whole thing will feel so different anyway with a totally different team. I’m in a very different place than I was. I’m probably going to be one of the adults, and initially, I was the youngest person on set, which is a weird feeling.”
Things are going to be quite different for her. Most of the people she will work with on the new movie are new, and Ridley herself has grown up a lot since she first appeared as Rey.
She Wants To Work With the Same Crew
Ridley hopes that some of the crew from her previous Star Wars films will also return. She claims this would make everything more comforting:
“I would also hope that it’s a lot of the same crew. Obviously, many people shifted, but many people stayed the same through all three films, and there was something wonderful and comforting about that. But I don’t know. It all remains to be seen. I would hope it feels natural in some way, but also like – I don’t know – like it’s a new adventure. I’m hoping it’s sort of a bit of both.”
This new ‘Star Wars’ movie will be directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy. It will take place 15 years after the events of ‘The Rise of Skywalker’ and see Rey try to put the Jedi Order back together. The film doesn’t have a confirmed release date, but Ridley thinks it might come out around 2026.
