Daniel Radcliffe Shares If He’ll Make A Cameo In ‘Harry Potter’ TV Series

He feels the series needs a fresh start without the original actors.

Daniel Radcliffe recently shared his thoughts on appearing in the new Harry Potter TV show.

Radcliffe told E! News that he won’t be making any cameos in the show because he thinks it needs a ‘clean break’ to be successful:

“I don’t think so. I think they very wisely want to [have] a clean break. And I don’t know if it would work to have us do anything in it. I’m very happy to just watch along with everyone else.”

Radcliffe also said Max didn’t ask him to be part of the series.

He’s Excited For The New HP Show

Radcliffe spoke to ComicBook last year and addressed the same possibility again:

“My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh and I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere. So I’m definitely not seeking it out in any way. But I do wish them, obviously, all the luck in the world and I’m very excited to have that torch passed. But I don’t think it needs me to physically pass it.”

Considering both statements, it’s safe to say he’s not looking to be involved in the new series in any way.

The Harry Potter series is expected to premiere in 2026 on Max. All the Harry Potter films are now available on the platform.
