The ‘Glow’ actress Alison Brie spoke to Dave Franco regarding her latest role in the movie, ‘The Rental’ that is Franco’s directorial debut.
At the start of the interview, Brie told a little about the movie, written by Dave Franco and Joe Swanberg, and the asked her husband:
“Did you ever offer the role to anyone else? I was awake in bed last night, in the middle of the night, being like, Did he offer this role to Kristen Bell or something, before he decided I should do it?’”
In return, Franco stated that she was the only option for the role. Whereupon, she said that had felt so excited and honored when her husband had offered the role to her:
“More than anything, I wanted to be with you for your first experience directing. Everything aside, obviously, the script was amazing. I think Michelle is maybe the best character. Objectively.”
Later, the newly director Franco asked her how prepared for playing ‘Michelle’ and the ‘Community’ star answered as follows:
“Well, for the first half of the movie, she’s kind of the uptight wife and there’s a very sexy sort of love triangle happening with the other characters. She doesn’t want to party with everyone on the first night. The next night when there’s a lot of heavy sh*t going down, she’s on this drug. It’s a really fun aspect of her character.”
At the rest of the interview, the couple started to talk about their past acting experiences by referring to ‘The Rental.’ In order to read out the full interview, click here.
