‘Deadpool & Wolverine’s Longtime Rumored Cameo Is Finally Confirmed

The news was revealed in ‘Welcome to Wrexham.’

Rumors about a special cameo in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ are true.

According to FX’s ‘Welcome to Wrexham,’ Rob McElhenney will make a cameo in the movie. McElhenney visits Ryan Reynolds on the ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ set in the show’s latest episode. McElhenney is wearing a robe that hides his costume, but there’s a shot where you can see the Time Variance Authority logo on his chest.

This clears up earlier theories suggesting McElhenney may be playing a version of Deadpool.

Marketing For The Movie Has Been In Full Swing

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’s ticket sales started earlier this week. There are many rumors about other possible cameos, like Taylor Swift and the original X-Men cast. Reynolds recently said that the Deadpool universe is full of surprises, so it’s hard to predict who might show up:

“You know, movies like this… There’s so much speculation about so many people that might end up in the film. I saw one that was convinced that Elvis was in the movie. Anything can happen, and that’s sort of what I love about this universe. Surprises are the essence of Deadpool.”

The movie stars Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. Jennifer Garner is confirmed to return as Elektra. Other rumored appearances include Wesley Snipes, James Marsden, Famke Janssen, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Dafne Keen, Channing Tatum, Blake Lively, and Taylor Swift.

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ will be released in theaters on July 26, 2024.
