Debra Messing, the well-known Hollywood actor, made her fans’ day by releasing a piece of great news regarding her upcoming Netflix project ‘13: The Musical.’
As known, a while ago, it was officially announced that Messing was cast for the Netflix show, which is being adapted from the book by Dan Elish and Tony Award winner Robert Horn. After good news arrived, on June 5, the seven-time Golden Globe-nominated star took to her verified Instagram account, released a selfie and heralded that she is ready for the set.
Underneath the photo, in which she is seen in front of a sign bearing “13: The Musical,” the Hollywood star wrote:
“It’s happening! I am fully ensconced in my 14-day quarantine in Toronto, but we had a reading with the whole cast, and it blew my mind.”
By referring to the stars of the film, Eli Golden, Gabriella Uhl, JD McCrary, Frankie McNellis, Lindsey Blackwell, Jonathan Lengel, Ramon Reed, Nolen Dubuc, Luke Islam, Shechinah Mpumlwana, Kayleigh Cerezo, Wyatt Moss, Liam Wignall, and Khiyla Aynne, Messing continued her praise as follows:
“These kids are astonishingly talented. I had a huge smile on my face through the whole reading. The singing? The songs? Watching the kids dancing in the chairs? It was magical. I can’t wait to get started.”
According to official declarations, the Netflix film will be adapted from the original Broadway version of the musical with the guidance of Tamra Davis who is best known for her works including ‘High School Musical: The Series,’ ‘Crossroads,’ and ‘Slinky.’
