Actor and former American football wide receiver, Devale Ellis can’t help expressing his happiness for working with a well-known rapper & actor Queen Latifah for the highly-expected crime drama television series, ‘The Equalizer.’
On January 16, the ‘Sistas’ star released a snap of himself with Latifah, through his verified Instagram account and added a message saying that he is grateful for being a part of a project the actor involves in. He wrote:
“All imma say is thank God we had to wear masks the whole time because nobody could tell how much I was cheesing while working with THE @queenlatifah.”
Stating that he does not get star struck by many, Ellis expressed that Latifah took unconventional roads to Hollywood while creating a blueprint for ownership; when she continues to tell her own stories. The reality TV star continued:
“And not for nothing Queen is just dope and been doing dope sh*t for a long time. 💪🏾 Man I love this sh*t.😏”
In his message, Ellis also announced that the crime drama series would premiere on CBS on February 7, and concluded his words with the following hashtags: #DevalesTruth #BuildAnEmpire #LeaveALegacy #PayItForward #HaveFunDoingIt
Starring Queen Latifah, Chris North, Tory Kittles, Liza Lapira, Lorraine Toussaint, and Adam Goldberg, ‘The Equalizer’ was first announced back in November 2019, by CBS. The pilot episode was filmed in New York City in March by well-known director and filmmaker Liz Friedlander.
The series, in which Latifah will appear as ‘Robyn McCall,’ will be broadcasted on CBS, after Super Bowl LV.
